From the perspective of Milton Friedman, there is no relation between businesses and social welfare towards communities, because he strongly believed that corporations are meant to focus only on profit generation and company growth, and social welfare should be left to government, as they are more capable of managing and outing their efforts in that. From his perspective, it is more of an on-paper approach and laced with ideas to give back to the community, while in reality, businesses do what they are best at: earn profit and cater to their area of expertise. If at all they talk of being involved with welfare, it is obvious that there would be some hidden agenda over the fact of actually reaching out.
